����APPENDIX 2 BASIC STATISTICS ON THE SECOND GENERAL SURVEY OF BASIC UNITS OF TIANJIN
����According to the arrangement of the State Council, China has held its first and second
general survey of basic units in 1996 and 2001.The survey was undertaken with the
reference time on December 31,1996 and October 31,2001 respectively.The first survey
covered impersonal entities and units with industrial undertakings excluding rural
households and individuals within the city engaged in social and economic activities, the
second survey covered all impersonal entities and units with industrial undertakings,individuals within the city engaged in social and economic activities.The content of
survey included basic characteristics, major sectors and so on.In next tables, the data
were obtained from computer tabulation.The data of the first survey was called "the first
survey",the data of the second survey was called "the second survey".
